Parade 2017

In the summer of 2017 I exhibited with the exhibition ‘Shades of Silence’ at Theaterfestival de Parade, which I was commissioned by Museum de Fundatie.

The exhibition was well received by an enthusiastic audience during the opening weekend in Rotterdam. Among other things, the NRC wrote about ‘The impressive Shades of Silence …’ and the Volkskrant used words like ‘dreamy’, ‘melancholy’, ‘intriguing’ and ‘beautiful’.

Inspired by wandering through abandoned and decaying buildings, the exhibition offered the opportunity to wander through dark corridors and rooms where video installations and photographs were shown.

For this exhibition 3 new video artworks were made: Wandering, Shades of Silence and Human Nature.
Also the video artwork Ozon was on display.
The exhibition ended with a series of photographs taken in deserted villages that I visited.
These were the inspiration for the realization of the exhibition.

The exhibition traveled with the Parade throughout the summer and was shown in Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam.
