HOW WAS IT?
‘It was the very first time that I was at De Parade anyway. I never had a reason to go there. There was a nice atmosphere. There was a very mature audience, which made it pleasant. I liked the decor very much, it looked like a circus. ‘

ARE YOU A THEATER LOVERER?
‘In recent years I have gone to the theater very little. As a child I often went to performances in our neighborhood. I really appreciate that my parents always took me with me. That has made a real impression on me.’

YOU VISIT THE EPOSITION SHADES OF SILENCE BY ELISE VAN DER LINDEN WHERE THE THEME TIME IS CENTRAL AND YOU WALK THROUGH A WORLD OF LANDSCAPES AND ARCHITECTURE. HOW WAS THAT?
‘I thought: I visit something that appeals to me. I did not know what to expect and I liked that. When I walked in I immediately became disoriented. The exhibition plays with your sense of space. I thought that was very cool.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE IMAGES THAT WERE PROJECTED?
‘With one of the first images, you felt as if you were going backwards in a dilapidated building. Through the windows you saw a lot happening, but you could not see what the outside world was. I immediately felt a little stuffy, a special effect. The photos that the artist had made of abandoned places were the most impressive. ‘

‘I have always been fascinated by abandoned spaces. It is creepy. Elise showed that nature takes over what people have built, I found that cool.
