This videoprojection shows the image of a human being, consisting of a grid of illuminated points. Floating in a black void, the artificial-looking creature sings and whispers words that it will forever repeat. She describes her great urge to create, create and expand her world and herself. So long and far, that we can not imagine what that will be like. Eternal Creation symbolizes man as a creating being.
The text is composed by songwriter Nicoline Pouwer and me from lyrics, poems and own pieces of text. The soundscape comes from NASA that has made sound recordings of Jupiter. Nicoline is a model in this video.
The video projection was made for the opening of the exhibition ‘2020 Vision’ at Kunstenlab in 2009.
