‘All I heard’ is part of the series ‘Soul of technology’.
Within this series of sculptures, which I still work on, I express how people coexists with technology that is constantly being developed and renewed. In this visual research, I ask questions such as: ‘To what extent does people depend on certain technologies? What consequences does this have on the experience of man? And how does man always regain his own naturalness? In these artworks I look for shapes and a visual language that show the tension between man’s nature and the things he has artificially measured himself.
In this research I wrote a booklet, supplemented with images of my own work, but also of other artists that inspire me. The booklet ‘Ziel van de techniek’ (‘Soul of Technology’) is for sale and can be ordered for € 20, – here. Here is a video of the booklet to view.
